Tombs in the Desert

Seeing the Hegra tombs was interesting and contributed to what we knew about the story of Petra where some of the same tribe lived. The tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful. It would be nice if the gift shop had more reasonably priced souvenirs.

Exploring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Hegra was a highlight, albeit very highly regulated by the Saudi Government. The locals were very friendly and wanted to show that they are changing and loved chatting about our experiences of their country. As a woman travelling on this trip I felt very safe, even when venturing out on my own.

BEAUTÉ DES NÉCROPOLES ET DU DESERT

Visite bien organisée. Départ en bus du parking nord d’alula, 15´de route avant d’arriver à la porte du parc . Impossible d’y accéder avec son propre véhicule . Boisson et fruits confis sont offerts en attendant le départ en bus vers les différents sites proposés (3 au total)
Hegra permet de découvrir la civilisation nabatéenne essentiellement ses rites funéraires ( a la différence de Petra beaucoup plus riche ) mais c’est tout de même très joli . Les explications du guide étaient complètes . On termine par facerock, roche ayant la forme d’un visage de femme.
2 heures de visite suffisent .
